 Christians Forced Into Violent Homes

Throughout Kyrgyzstan, COVID-19 has forced Christians to return to violent households.

17-year-old Galia* lived with her elder brother and his wife when she converted from Islam two years ago. When they found out, they pressured her to renounce Jesus, even physically attacking her. But Galia remained firm, insisting on going to church even with bruises still on her face.

Galia was later able to move away to a capital city, finding a job at a café and renting her own flat. But persecution followed her. Her boss did not approve of her faith and rejected many of her requests to attend Sunday church services.

Now, lockdowns in the country have forced Galia to return to her brother’s home.

Please pray with Galia and other believers around the world who face increased difficulty during this time.
