New Zealand | Pray For Christchurch
On Friday, 15 March, two mosques in Christchurch were attacked. 50 people lost their lives, with another 50 people injured.
In the wake of this attack in Christchurch, we want to encourage you to respond in prayer. At Open Doors, we believe that everyone should be able to worship freely and safely, without the fear of losing their lives. As a ministry that exists to serve people, we regard human life as immensely precious and inherently valuable.
We are saddened for those who have lost their lives, for their families and loved ones, and for all others who mourn the events of Friday.
Please join us in praying for all those affected.
- Pray for the healing of people, both physical and emotional, for the healing of divides between groups, and for the healing of the nation of New Zealand.
- Pray for God’s peace and comfort for the families of those who were injured or lost their lives in the attack.
- Praise God for those serving others in the face of this tragedy, particularly for the emergency services on the scene, and the medical staff attending to those affected. Pray that they will be protected and strengthened.
- Pray that as communities across New Zealand and the world grieve, that peace and unity will overcome fear.
