Thank You!

On 16 September, groups around New Zealand and Australia walked to water for Christians in Nigeria. Throughout September and October, 94 groups registered to raise funds–providing clean water for persecuted Christians.

Here’s just a few highlights from Walk to Water 2017.

Why Nigeria?

Christians in Nigeria are persecuted for their faith in Jesus.

Much of northern Nigeria is governed by Islamic Sharia law, making life hard for people who follow Jesus. Christians can be blocked or pushed to the back of the line when receiving basic needs, including access to clean water, medical clinics and schools.

That means Christians have to walk kilometres every day, just to get clean water. You can read Gloria’s story here.

Water boreholes are changing lives

This year, the project for Walk to Water will drill 12 water boreholes in Christians villages over the next three years.

You’re not just providing water, you’re changing people’s lives!
