Shiromi & Seradh of Sri Lanka

People who knew Pastor Neil believe that a man was hired to kill him and that the killing was religiously motivated.

Pastor Neil's wife Shiromi and his little boy Seradh, then only two years old, were also shot. Both survived, but suffered serious injuries and severe trauma as a result. Open Doors came to the aid of Shiromi and her son by providing for their medical needs.

Shiromi is now continuing her husband’s ministry to the small house church in Ampara, with the help of a full-time church worker, and the church is growing under her care and guidance. Besides preaching and worshipping every Sunday, Shiromi visits her members on weekdays. She and her five-year-old son continue to build their lives in the very place where Pastor Neil was taken from them.
