Comoros
The degree of persecution toward Christians in Comoros differs between the three islands. Although the numbers of local believers in underground churches continues to be small, there is growth both in quantity and depth of faith. Evangelism is forbidden for Christians, and those who convert to Christianity can expect seveer reprisals from the community and their own family. There has been an increase in Arab Muslim fundalmentalists coming to the islands to teach their doctrine in the local Mosques.
Examples of Persecution: none
Open Doors is: supplying funds towards the translation, production and distribution of Christian literature, and giving support and training to Christians in the country
Please Pray:
- Praise God for the many Christian visitors that make an effort to go to Comoros, and are able to pray with and encourage local believers
- Pray that Sharia (Islamic) Law will not be introduced to these islands
