Bahrain

The mainly Shia-Islamic country is quite tolerant because of its international position in banking and trade. Members of religious groups are permitted to practice their faith, but only in private places of worship. Converts from Islam are often shunned by society, but generally not punished. Christian ministry in Bahrain has good foundations... For over a century, the American Mission Hospital has been well known and highly regarded. There are also two bookshops selling Christian books, and Christian resources are easily available online.

Please Pray:

  • Praise God for the current levels of religious freedom in Bahrain. Pray that it would remain a relatively free country
  • For the Christian TV and radio broadcasts, that they would reach a large number of people
  • For perseverance for converts from Islam who are often shunned by society
